Capes & Coats
Updated: Nov 7, 2020
Over the years I have collected an array of capes and coats to tide me over the transitional period from autumn to winter.
For my autumnal day wear, my go to is the Fendi cape www.fendi.com layered over a pair of Bailey 44 leather trousers - which are noteworthy because the front panel is leather and the back is Lycra which is great for the stretch. Paired with Christian Louboutin ankle boots.
For smart office wear, I think grey is a great colour. I threw the grey cape from Michael Kors Collection www.michaelkors.com over a black shift dress and paired it with burgundy knee high boots from Michael Michael Kors. Accessorized with a burgundy hat from Maison Michel and a large leather YSL bag.
For occasion wear, I’m in love with my brown cape from Michael Kors which literally can be paired up with anything. Here I am wearing the cape with a Michael Kors Collection embroidered bodycon dress. Here I took a fashion risk - adding this pair of black long leather gloves - Inspired by Diahann Caroll. Ladies why not....
For athletic leisure look when its cold and rainy in London. At the weekends I love this combination of Burberry. The black long Parka jacket combined with classic Burberry print leggings along with white and gold Burberry kicks. For convenience this Gucci bum bag is everything.
For a contrast winter look. I‘ve worn my favourite black Bailey 44 leather trousers with a black cashmere sleeveless turtle neck and leather Chelsea boots - both from Michael Kors Collection. Topping this look with a double breasted shearling coat from Burberry. This coat is very warm and the reason why I wore a sleeveless top with it.
At last but not least, my short burgundy faux fur coat from Maje, this hooded coat is perfect for casual day wear like winter days out in London
